AGSA or Association of Geography Student in Southeast Asia is an organization that will formed by delegation of youth geography students around the Southeast Asia countries in a wide spectrum of activities. AGSA achieves its goals by organizing extracurricular activities which promote exchange of experiences and information among students. Those activities take place in International Symposiums, seminars, several working groups called commissions, publications, exchange field study, etc. After the Forum forming, it’s supposed to be network for the development of geographical science especially in Southeast Asia.
Our vision is for global cooperation among students of geography sciences in order to broaden knowledge and understanding to achieve a sustainable future for our earth, and to provide a voice for youth in international environment policy processes.
Our mission is to provide a platform for students of geography sciences to enrich their formal education, promote cultural understanding by encouraging collaboration with international partner associations and to gain practical experiences with a wider and more global perspective. Through its network, AGSA encourages student meetings, enables participation in scientific debates, and supports the involvement of youth in decision making processes and international environmental policy.
In AGSA forum, there are some activities will be done, they are public discussion about the problems occur in the Southeast Asia region and a relationship recommendation which is aimed to reach cooperation among all of the geography student association in the Southeast Asia region.
AGSA Forum : will be held on Homestay, session 1 : May 4th 2012 (2PM - 3PM) (west indonesian time)
Session 2 : May 6th 2012 (5PM - 7PM) (west Indonesian time)
Provisions of participants :
The participants who join the AGSA forum are the participants in Category A and Category B who come from geography student in the Southeast Asia Countries
